Architecture for Agile Solution Delivery

Course Code: 01-05-T923

The term "architecture" can mean different things to different people depending on their professional background.  This class provides you with an overview of information technology (IT) architecture. Class format includes lecture, hands-on exercises, and real-world examples.

Finding agile solutions and delivering technology projects can be difficult. It can be especially difficult for a non-IT professional to understand how different technological elements work together. This is the recommended first class of the Technical Solutions Delivery Certificate. This certificate provides you with an overview of the programs and systems commonly used in projects so that you can communicate and collaborate effectively with your project team.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Recognize patterns for software engineering.
  • Identify and understand use cases, requirements, and features.
  • Recognize computer programs, websites, and services in the architecture.
  • Outline programming and testing of architecture.
  • Define documentation and communication in architecture.

Prerequisite: You should be familiar with using personal computers, the mouse, and keyboard. You should be able to use Windows to launch and close programs, navigate to information stored on the computer, and manage files and folders.

Intended Audience: This course is appropriate for anyone, but it is especially ideal for communications professionals engaged in project planning. It equips non-IT professionals with a basic understanding of the IT world.
