The switchback trail between Heritage Park and the Capitol Campus will be closed for part of Thursday, May 9. The closure will begin in the morning so unhealthy trees can be removed from the hillside.
The work is part of a reforestation project to protect the hillside from landslides by replacing damaged trees and invasive plants with a native mix of strong-rooted native plants. The trail will re-open when Enterprise Services determines the area is not a risk to public safety.
