City of Olympia Testing Hydrant Pressure

The City of Olympia will be testing a fire hydrant at the corner of Sid Snyder Avenue and Columbia Street in the vicinity of the Shumaker Building (a.k.a. the Blue Press House) on Monday, July 17. City Public Works crews will open the hydrant and let water flow to assess if there is appropriate pressure for its operation in an emergency.

This activity may cause a slight trace of discolored water with the domestic water in sinks and bathroom fixtures. If this occurs please contact your building manager, who will make arrangements to flush the interior system until the water is clean.
