Construction work to temporarily shut down traffic light at Union Avenue and Capitol Way Dec. 13

On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Puget Sound Energy will temporarily shut down the power to the traffic control light at Union Avenue and Capitol Way South to allow crews to replace the service pedestal at the northwest corner of the intersection as part of the 1063 Block Replacement Project.

The Washington State Patrol will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic while power to the light is out. Work will start at 8 a.m. and power is expected to be restored by 4:30 p.m. There will be no other power outage impacts other than the traffic control light.
