Work begins to update and repair campus heating and cooling systems

Work begins this week to repair and update the heating and cooling systems on the Capitol Campus. The projects will improve safety, and provide cost savings in operating the decades-old systems.

The work is not expected to affect people visiting or working in office buildings on the campus.

The projects include:

  • Replacing campus powerhouse chillers (cooling system).
  • Repairing the campus steam system (heating system).
  • Removing the Governor’s Mansion from the central system.

The first step will be removing the mansion from the central system.

More information, including a Frequently Asked Questions document, is available on the project web page.
