Layoff Information Sessions

If you are a state employee being impacted by layoff, we advise that you take advantage of a layoff information session. Developed by experts from Enterprise Services, Health Care Authority, Retirement Systems, and Employment Security, these workshops provide critical tools and information for this tough transition.

Live Sessions

These presentations feature experts from the subject areas and provide opportunity to ask questions. Important information: Employees planning to attend a layoff information session must sign up by emailing at least 10 days prior to the desired session date. If there are less than 10 sign-ups the session will be cancelled. Please provide your email address and/or phone number so that we can contact you if necessary.

Online Sessions

The online layoff information session provides 24/7 access to information and resources contained in the state’s layoff program. This workshop is the cooperative effort of several state programs and agencies, including Employment Security, Health Care Authority, Retirement Systems, and Enterprise Services.

Though this video session is a compressed version of a live session, it incorporates the same basic slide presentation and features audio narration throughout.

The video takes less than an hour to view, with segments averaging aound 8 to 10 minutes each. Viewers can also use the program index to select and view the subjects that interest them.
