Workforce diversity impacts everyone.  Behaviors that were once either ignored or tolerated are now unacceptable.  We can no longer afford the expense of lost employee morale, motivation and productivity.  Taking this type of behavior to the extreme can result in verbal and physical workplace violence.  In this course you will learn the skills necessary to develop the ability to work effectively with persons who have a wide range of cultural differences.

    Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

    • Understand what constitutes discrimination, harassment and violence under state and federal law.
    • Recognize yours and others’ roles and responsibilities in preventing discrimination, harassment and violence.
    • Practice skills for preventing discrimination, harassment and violence in the workplace.
    • Communicate with others about differences.
