Positive Corrective Action (1/2 Day)

01-09-M591
When employee performance does not meet expectations managers must engage in the task of corrective action. In this session, managers learn the steps of positive corrective action. This is not a specific system within state government, but rather, a common-sense approach that puts the responsibility for improvement on the employee and the manager in a supportive role rather than an accusatory one. Such an approach puts the responsibility for improvement on the employee and the manager in a supportive role rather than an accusatory one. Such an approach results in improved employee performance and motivates the employee to do a better job.
