Entity Framework is Microsoft’s way to access and manipulate data in the modern stack. In this class, we will work with both database first and code first methods to make the data models needed for our programs.

    Performance Outcomes: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

      • Describe what Entity Framework is
      • Describe what an Object Relational Mapper is
      • Use LINQ to query data
      • Set up a database first Entity Data Model
      • Set up a code first Entity Data Model
      • Implement data validations with data annotations
      • Implement data error handling
      • Implement one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many relationships
      • Use stored procedures with Entity Framework
      • Implement migrations to change database schema
      • Manage transactions with Entity Framework
