State Capitol Committee members
The State Capitol Committee (SCC) approves new construction and improvements of public buildings, and the acquisition of real estate at the state capitol and within Thurston County. SCC is advised by the Capitol Campus Design Advisory Committee.
SCC has four members: the governor or the governor's designee, the lieutenant governor, the secretary of state, and the commissioner of public lands.

Capitol Campus Design Advisory Committee members
The Capitol Campus Design Advisory Committee (CCDAC) is an advisory group to the State Capitol Committee and the director of the Department of Enterprise Services to review programs, planning, design, and landscaping of state capitol facilities and grounds as they are developed. CCDAC makes recommendations that will contribute to the attainment of architectural, aesthetic, functional, and environmental excellence in design and maintenance of capitol facilities on campus and located in neighboring communities.
CCDAC has nine members, including four legislators, the Secretary of State, and four design professionals representing multiple disciplines.

Department of Enterprise Services staff
DES provides support to CCDAC, preparing detailed minutes and presentation materials. The director of DES has custody and control of the capitol buildings and grounds. The director supervises and directs proper care, heating, lighting, and repairing, and designates rooms in the capitol buildings to be occupied by various state officials. The director may construct new buildings on, or improve existing facilities, and furnish and equip, all real estate under DES management.

Meetings
Meetings occur each quarter. In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, meetings are hybrid.

Public comments
The committee welcomes public comments. Meeting packets are posted on this page when available — typically 3-5 days before the planned meeting date and time.
Public comments are due by 4 p.m., two business days before the meeting date. DES staff will summarize or acknowledge comments received during a dedicated public comment period at the meeting. The summary may address one or more comments. Late comments may not be included.
