The Department of Enterprise Services’ Capitol Security and Visitor Services has issued a permit for Lakefair Hoopfest, a three-on-three basketball tournament, July 14-15.

The event will affect parking on west campus beginning on Friday, July 13. The north diagonal parking area and the flag circle will close at 5:30 p.m. Both areas will be closed to vehicle traffic the entire weekend.

The event, also marketed as the Capital City 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, and will feature activities on 20 different courts on the Capitol Campus.

Organizers estimate that 1,000 people will attend the event.

Enterprise Services manages the historic Capitol Campus in Olympia which includes five parks and Capitol Lake.
