Construction crane removal to impact traffic Nov. 11-12 - 11/09/2016

On Friday, Nov. 11, both eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of Union Avenue, between Capitol Way and Columbia Street, will be closed so workers can dismantle the construction crane at the 1063 Block Replacement Project work site.

While one westbound lane of Union Avenue will remain open, the one nearest the curb, there will be no parking along this street during the crane removal. Work begins around 6:30 a.m. and will take about four hours to complete.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, the crane will be transported away from the construction site. This will require the closure of this section of Union Avenue in both directions from about 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Flaggers will be on hand both days to help manage traffic.
