Deschutes Parkway mowing to impact traffic Jan. 20-21

A crew from the Washington State Department of Transportation will mow roadside vegetation along the west and south side of Deschutes Parkway from Lakeridge Drive to the I-5 overpass in Tumwater on Jan. 20-21.

The mowing, scheduled from about 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days, will improve site lines and drainage along the southern half of the road.

Both lanes of Deschutes Parkway will be open, but a flagger will be on site to help manage traffic near the mower.

Deschutes Parkway is a 1.8-mile-long road that runs along the western and southern shore of Capitol Lake. The road is managed by the Department of Enterprise Services as part of the 486-acre Capitol Campus.
