Drilling will cause temporary impacts to parking on Plaza Garage A level the week of June 10

As the East Plaza Water Infiltration Repair project continues, some drilling work to install new drains over the Plaza Garage will have short-term impacts on parking during the week of June 10. The drilling will require some parking stalls on the A level of the Plaza Garage to be closed temporarily. The stall closures will happen throughout the A level and will only happen when and where the drilling occurs. When the drilling work is complete, those stalls will reopen and another set of stalls will close at the next drilling site. Employees with reserved or assigned stalls will be contacted directly about any parking impacts they may experience.

Flaggers ahead

Primary access to the A level is through the Maple Park entrance where large trucks are moving in and out of the laydown area west of the entrance. For safety, it is extremely important that pedestrians and drivers entering and exiting the garage through the Maple Park entrance pay close attention to flaggers and be aware of their surroundings. You can also use the entrances and exit on Capitol Way at level B if you’d rather avoid the area.

You can find updates and information about the East Plaza Water Infiltration Repair Project on the DES website.
