No heat, hot water in most campus buildings Sept. 9-11

Most Capitol Campus buildings will be without hot water or heat from about 6 p.m. Friday, September 9 to about 6 p.m. Sunday, September 11 so that Enterprise Services staff can repair sections of the underground campus steam system.

The affected buildings include:

  • Archives
  • Employment Security
  • General Administration
  • Highways-Licenses
  • Insurance
  • Irv Newhouse
  • Joel M. Pritchard
  • John A. Cherberg
  • John L. O'Brien
  • Office Building 2
  • Legislative
  • Temple of Justice

The campus powerhouse, the building with the tall smokestack next to Capitol Lake, burns natural gas to produce steam for heating and hot water in most campus buildings.
