Scaffolding goes up at Old Capitol Building Oct. 11 to aid with repairs

Scaffolding will be set up on the north side of the Old Capitol Building, which is across the street from Sylvester Park in downtown Olympia, on Saturday, Oct. 11, so Enterprise Services can clear a clogged roof drain.

During a recent storm, water leaked into the men's restroom on the third floor of the building.

The scaffolding is needed to safely reach the clogged drain, which is approximately 50 feet above the ground. The scaffolding is expected to be down by Oct. 28.

No building entryways will be affected by the work.

Enterprise Services maintains the 486-acre Capitol Campus, which includes Sylvester, Heritage and Marathon parks.
