Roof Replacement: Old Capitol Building

DES is replacing the roof of the Old Capitol Building.

The Old Capitol Building, built in 1892, is a historic state building in the Olympia area. Over its long life, the building's copper roof has leaked, damaging structures and finishes inside.

Replacing the roof is the best method to meet current waterproofing standards, protect the structure, and preserve the building's historic character.

Cost: $6.75 million
