Heritage Park, the state-owned park in downtown Olympia, will host the Capital City Pride Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.

The annual event includes a parade that begins at noon Sunday, June 19, that heads north on Capitol Way to Heritage Park. Cleanup activities in the park are slated to wrap up at about 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The Capital City Pride Festival is hosted by the area's gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied community and its supporters.

According to organizers, more than 10,000 people will likely attend this year's event.
