Required specifications
The following have been identified as green specifications relevant to the good/services as minimum mandatory requirements. These would not be part of a scored exhibit. If you are using the Washington state procurement manual templates, the following should be inserted in the relevant document that describes the product or performance requirements.
Use the table in (d)(1) on page 14-16 of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1168 as the product requirements. Use the products that are applicable to the solicitation/purchase along with the link.
For Example: Products must contain VOC at or below the indicated limits as described in South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1168. For this contract the following are most likely to be utilized.

Preferred specifications
The following have been identified as green specifications relevant to the goods/services as preferred specifications to be scored. These would be part of your evaluation. If you are using the Washington state procurement manual templates, the following should be inserted in the relevant document that is used for evaluation.
- For inclusion in a solicitation, please refer to the HFC policy and desk aid documents for an explanation and example.
HFCs with a relatively low global warming potential (i.e., they are listed as an Acceptable Substitute by the U.S. EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy). - Cradle to Cradle Product Certificate or Material Health Certificate: v3.1 at the gold level or higher, or v4.0 at the Silver level or higher
