Preferred specifications
The following have been identified as green specifications relevant to the goods/services as preferred specifications to be scored. These would be part of your evaluation. If you are using the Washington state procurement manual templates, the following should be inserted in the relevant document that is used for evaluation.
- Products used in service that are certified Safer Choice, Green Screen, Cradle to Cradle, Green Seal, ECOLOGO, or Design for the Environment.
- Products used in service that follow the U.S. EPA's Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines for Vehicular Products.

Bidders shall use sustainable development practices, such as minimizing waste and reusing resources and using renewable energy sources.

- NSF Sustainability Certification.
- No lead in wheel weights No Mercury.
- Products shall not be gas powered.
- Products shall not be low fuel economy.
