Customer Experience Prototyping and Usability Testing
This course teaches you how to use prototyping and usability testing to support human-centered design (HCD). You will explore how different prototypes and testing methods help teams learn quickly, reduce risk, and improve experiences before launch. The course covers both digital and non-digital contexts.
Performance Objectives: After completing this class, you should be able to:
- Explain how prototyping and usability testing support HCD.
- Select appropriate prototype types and levels of fidelity.
- Create prototypes representing key experience elements.
- Conduct observational, task-based usability testing.
- Choose usability metrics aligned with learning goals.
- Apply testing insights to designs and design systems.
Prerequisites: You should complete Foundations of Human-Centered Design and Customer Experience or have the same level of knowledge about HCD and CX principles, before enrolling in this course.
Intended Audience: Anyone seeking to improve usability, accessibility, efficiency, and overall experiences for both internal and external customers.
