Coaching Past Resistance LD Workshop (1/2 Day) Virtual or In-person

Engaged and motivated staff are supported by leaders who create atmospheres of trust, empowerment, and shared responsibility. Coaching Past Resistance uses the principles of Motivational Interviewing to recognize employee and team member ambivalence that happens during times of change and helps leaders support and encourage new behaviors in staff.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Understand natural resistance all humans have toward change
  • Identify change talk
  • Generate and practice reflective listening statements
  • Plan next steps with the staff they coach

Intended Audience: New supervisors and mid-level managers
