Heat, hot water disruptions to affect some campus buildings through the weekend

Most Capitol Campus buildings will be without heat or hot water from 4 p.m. Friday, May 20, to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 22, while Enterprise Services makes repairs to the Capitol Campus steam heating system.

The affected buildings include:

  • Legislative
  • John L. O’Brien
  • John A. Cherberg
  • Irv R. Newhouse
  • Joel M. Pritchard
  • Insurance
  • Temple of Justice
  • General Administration
  • State Archives
  • Highways-Licenses
  • Office Building 2
  • Employment Security

The campus powerhouse, the building with the tall smokestack next to Capitol Lake, burns natural gas to produce steam for heating and hot water in most campus buildings.
