A new, updated Project Management Certificate Program begins rolling out in December 2026. The current certificate program is being phased out as the new program is introduced.

New Project Management Certificate Program

The new Project Management Certificate Program provides you with a comprehensive foundation in project management and practical skills you can apply to projects in the workplace.

The new program includes one optional introductory course and seven required courses.

Optional introductory course

Introduction to Project Management is an optional introductory course recommended if you are new to project management or would benefit from an introduction to project management concepts and terminology. It is not required to complete the certificate.

Required certificate courses

The following seven courses are required to complete the new Project Management Certificate Program:

• Program Development: Initiation & Planning
• Project Execution, Monitoring, Control, & Closure
• Project Risk Management
• Project-Driven Change Management
• Project Scope, Requirements, Quality, & Performance Management
• Project Schedule, Finance, & Resource Management
• Project Governance, Stakeholder, & Communication Management

Courses can be taken in any order but are listed in the recommended order of completion.

Current Project Management Certificate Program – Final Offerings

If you have already started the current Project Management Certificate Program, you may continue working toward the current certificate while its remaining courses are offered.

The courses below are the existing certificate requirements. Dates shown indicate the final scheduled offering of the course. Courses without a date are no longer being offered.
