Tree work scheduled on Capitol Campus Nov. 26
OLYMPIA — Treatments will be done to improve tree health at various Capitol Campus locations on Nov. 26.
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with Wolbert’s Plant Essentials of Olympia for effort.
A Scotch elm in Sylvester Park will be treated for leaf miners and five large tulip trees near the Legislative Building and Temple of Justice will be treated for aphids.
Pedestrian impacts
During the work, sidewalks adjacent to the large historic trees may be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic. The work will begin at 7 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services manages the historic Capitol Campus in Olympia which includes five parks and Capitol Lake.
