Capitol Campus Update: Cherry Lane sidewalks and parking to close temporarily for tree removal

For safety reasons, parking and sidewalks will be temporarily closed as cherry trees are pruned and those that have reached the end of their lives are removed.
Scope & Impact: For safety reasons, parking and sidewalks will be temporarily closed as cherry trees are pruned and those that have reached the end of their lives are removed.
Where: Cherry Lane, between Water Street Southwest Avenue and Sid Snyder Avenue Southwest.
When: 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Aug. 1-4
Why: Four Kwanzan flowering cherry trees are being removed because they have reached the end of their lives and pose a safety hazard. The remaining 15 will be pruned to remove dead limbs.
All work is weather dependent. The Department of Enterprise Services will be performing this work.
