Capital Lakefair to impact Capitol Campus streets

Event & Location: Capital Lakefair, an annual five-day festival on the shores of Capitol Lake, will impact access to Campus streets. Organizers estimate more than 200,000 people will attend the event.

When: July 13-17

Street closures

  • A section of Water Street SW, next to Heritage Park, will be closed starting July 9 at 8 a.m. for festival set up.

  • Deschutes Parkway SW, between 5th Ave. SW and Lakeridge Dr. SW, will be closed 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.

  • 11th Ave. SW at Capitol Way, the north and south diagonals parking area, and Sid Snyder Ave. SW will be closed 1-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.

The area behind the Temple of Justice Building, the Governor’s Mansion parking lot, the South Legislative Building parking lot and the switchback trail that leads to Capitol Lake will be closed on Sunday, July 17, at noon to begin preparations for Lakefair's fireworks.
