Capitol Campus events permitted through DES Visitor Services cancelled through April 24

-

OLYMPIA - The Department of Enterprise Services has cancelled all permitted events on the Capitol Campus through April 24 as part of the regional effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 by limiting gatherings, and to comply with recommendations and directives from the Governor’s Office and Thurston County and Washington State Departments of Health.

While permits are not required for some free speech activities, DES is asking people to carefully consider social distancing advice from DOH and local health jurisdictions when making decisions on whether to visit the Capitol Campus.

Information on other campus activities overseen by DES and DES-hosted meetings that have been cancelled or postponed is available on the DES COVID-19 information page.

DES will continue to closely monitor the situation including guidance from the state Department of Health (DOH) and local health jurisdictions.
