Capitol Lake Pedestrian Bridge temporary closure on May 5

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) will temporarily close the Capitol Lake Pedestrian Bridge near Marathon Park on Wednesday, May 5 between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. to repair damaged decking boards.

Three decking boards were damaged by vandalism that occurred the night of May 2. The bridge will remain open to the public until the repair begins on May 5. The impacted area has been covered and sectioned off for pedestrian safety. Signs are posted on each end of the bridge to alert visitors of the upcoming repair and temporary closure.
