DES preparing for possible Capitol Campus snow and ice

-

The National Weather Service has issued an alert for an inclement weather pattern moving into the area beginning Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, that will most likely bring snow and icy roads to the campus and surrounding area.

Response

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is activating the Buildings and Grounds Incident Command Post (ICP) to prioritize needs and deploy snow and ice response teams.

Highlights:

  • DES has scheduled delivery of additional snow and ice removal equipment.
  • DES will utilize a new blower to speed removal of snow on sidewalks.

Contact DES

If you spot an issue or area of concern, please immediately call 360-725-0000.

Or you can contact your building's assigned property manager.

DES staff will work to mitigate building and campus concerns as they are identified.
