Tree treatments to close part of Heritage Park on May 2

The first of two planned fungicide spray treatments on London plane trees at Heritage Park will take place Thursday, May 2 at 5 a.m. The work is weather dependent, and will help reduce a foliar fungal disease and promote tree health.

During the work, a section of Heritage Park (see map below) will be cordoned off until the spray dries, which should take three to four hours.

The temporary partial closure will affect entrances to Heritage Park from Marathon Park and the switchback from the upper part of Capitol Campus.
