Important Dates

Dec. 22-30

  • Accounts Payable payment pause for IRS forms 1099 work. No payments made from Dec 22 through Dec. 30.

Dec. 31

  • Due date for agencies that file annual/monthly DOR Use Tax.

Jan. 3

  • Accounts Payable resuming payment processing.

Jan. 5

  • To reflect in your agency's monthly financial statements, all invoices and travel reimbursement requests are due to Accounts Payable.

Jan. 6

  • 2022 IRS 1099-MISC upload deadline.

Jan. 9

  • 2023 Legislative Session begins.

Jan. 31

  • 2022 W-2s will be both mailed and available in MyPortal.
  • Annual sick leave buy-out form is due.

Important Messages

Governor's proposed budgets released

Governor Inslee released his proposed 2023 Supplemental and 2023-25 Biennial Budget.

Budget data has been released through the Agency Budget System (ABS), Enterprise Reporting (ER) and the Capital Budget System (CBS).

Fiscal Note Training

Do you need a refresher on the fiscal note system training? OFM offers Introduction to Fiscal Notes System (FNS) (online training and virtual training).

There will be a couple virtual trainings offered January 5. The online training will be a pre-recorded session that can be watched anytime, on-demand.

The trainings will cover:

  • Capital expenditures
  • Operating
  • FTEs
  • Revenue
  • Importing from Excel
  • I-960/10-Year Analysis

Official Agency Payroll Journal - A Useful Resource

SAFS (Small Agency Financial Services) Team Updates

Did you know? Your DES financial support team consists of ALL of our SAFS team members. Even though you may work with specific SAFS members regularly, other SAFS members often step in to assist and provide continuity of services. We would like you to know about our whole SAFS team.
