This course will help you reach your next level of skill development. It will help you acquire essential editing skills for every form of writing. You will learn how to edit the work of others as well as your own. 
    You will gain confidence as an editor. You will also learn the 'Dos' and 'Don’ts' of self-editing and editing for others. The Gregg Reference Manual is used as our standard. We encourage you to finish this review by taking the one-day Proofreading Skills Review class.

      NOTE: This course supports the principles of Plain Talk.

        Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

        • Edit documents to ensure powerful writing happens all the time.
        • Edit documents to ensure key ideas appear up front for your customer.
        • Edit documents to ensure sentences provide parallel importance, focus on emphasis, and remove wordiness.
        • Write clutter-free sentences by removing 15 types of writing nightmares.
        • Write with acceptable tone even when having to say no.
