Advanced PDF Techniques in Adobe Acrobat®
This course teaches you advanced skills for managing PDF’s using Adobe Acrobat, including search and replace techniques, spell-checking, creating electronic forms and surveys, and redacting sensitive information from public-facing PDFs.
Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Use Acrobat’s advanced search and replace features.
- Use spell checking techniques and understand their limitations.
- Create fill-in-the-blank forms from scratch and from existing files.
- Create information gathering forms like surveys and order forms.
- Permanently redact sensitive information from PDF documents.
Prerequisite: You will need to access your own Adobe account in the computer lab during class. If you do not have an account, personal or through your agency, use this link for a free 7-day trial: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat.html. Please create and log in to your free trial 1-2 days before class to address any potential issues ahead of time.
Intended Audience: All audiences, but familiarity with using Acrobat to create and edit PDFs will be beneficial.
