Capitol Campus Update: DES to temporarily close a portion of 15th Avenue Southwest
Where: 15th Avenue Southwest between Capitol Way through the intersection with Columbia Street Southwest.
What's happening: Crews will remove existing asphalt to regrade and repave the section of 15th Avenue Southwest. The sidewalk, curb, and gutter on the north side of 15th Avenue Southwest will be removed and electrical conduit installed. Once this is complete the curb, gutter and sidewalk will be repoured.
Impact: 15th Avenue Southwest will be closed to all traffic from Capitol Way through the intersection of Columbia Street Southwest. The sidewalk on the north side of 15th Avenue Southwest will be closed. The small alley behind homes on the east side of Columbia Street Southwest that connects with 15th Avenue Southwest will be closed to vehicle traffic.
When: April 1 - May 3
All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with Hoffman Construction at Seattle for this effort.
