ADA and Sidewalk Improvement Project Update

This is a status update on the project to improve sidewalks as well as ADA access throughout the Capitol Campus.

Work this week

  • Washington Street: Work will continue.
    • Half of the Capitol Court parking ramp off Washington Street will be demolished starting Friday, Aug. 2. The other half of the ramp will remain open during construction. Concrete will be poured Monday, Aug. 5.
    • On Thursday, Aug. 8 the section with new concrete will be opened to traffic and the other half of the ramp will be demolished. Concrete will be poured on Friday, Aug. 9.
    • The entire ramp is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Aug. 12.

Upcoming work

  • Pleasant Lane: Beginning Aug. 9 the street will be closed to all traffic at the west end of the Capitol Building through the end of August. Parking and traffic around the Temple of Justice will not be impacted.
  • North diagonal: Beginning Aug. 14 the diagonal will be closed to all traffic through the end of August.
