Contract Management 101
Training
State employees can only get credit for taking this training in the Washington State Learning Center.
This is required training for all employees who manage, monitor or are subject-matter experts on contracts. You will learn to manage contracts, ensure compliance with the statement of work, and monitor the contractor’s performance.
Before you move onto Contract Management 102, you must also complete WA-State Purchasing and Procurement Ethics.
If you do not have access to the Washington State Learning Center, use these screen-reader-friendly versions of the courses:
- Module 1: Contract Identification
- Module 2: Contract Management Job Description
- Module 3: Everything I Needed to Know, I Learned by Reading the Contract
- Module 4: Laws, Policies, and Keys to Success
This course is one of the two prerequisites before choosing a learning track in the required Contract Management Training Program.
State and higher education employees should take the “WA-State Contract Management Program” training through the Washington State Learning Center for a certificate of completion.
