Keys to Building an Effective Team (1 Day)

 

This course combines concepts and tools from Bruce Tuckman’s group development model, a variety of motivational concepts, Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership, and Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Participants will learn the materials through mini-lecture on the key topics, create a personalized development plan, and engage in both small and large group discussion sessions.

 

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

 

·       understand and identify various personality interaction styles,

·       identify key stages of team development,

·       apply various motivation concepts to team members,

·       create team-building activities appropriate for their team, and

·       produce a plan for on-going development specifically for their team

Diagnose abilities and motivation of team members; how to be effective with various personality styles; deal effectively with conflict; apply motivational approaches; and how to implement effective team building activities
