Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Appreciate the role that coaching plays in leading a dynamic, change-oriented workplace culture. 
  • Understand the difference between classical leadership styles and coaching as a leadership style.
  • Explore coaching strategies that today’s successful leaders use to drive high performance, enhance employee satisfaction ratings, and support continuous improvement. 
  • Apply new coaching skills to build capacity in others, enhancing employee and leader performance.

  • Leadership styles and coaching a leadership style.
  • Coaching Models
  • Personal leadership style and coaching style (Can be done with a formal personality assessment or informal inventory.)
  • The GROW model of coaching
  • Coaching practice

Day 2:

  • Coaching models, styles, techniques, and tools.
  • Coaching for individual performance
    • Coaching practice
  • Coaching for team performance.
    • Coaching practice
  • Build a collection of coaching questions.
  • Personal action plan to develop coaching as a leadership style.
