When employees feel appreciated and valued, they experience higher levels of job satisfaction and healthier relationships, resulting in a decrease in burnout and fewer employees leaving the job. This training helps teams create positive work environments by expressing appreciation. Using the concepts from “The 5 Languages of Appreciation at Work” by Gary Chapman and Paul White, you will learn the fundamental concepts to communicate genuine appreciation and encouragement to your coworkers.
Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Understand the benefits and importance of authentic appreciation.
- Explain what happens when people don’t feel valued at work.
- Distinguish the difference between recognition and appreciation.
- Recognize how different individuals express and perceive appreciation in the work environment.
- Apply the “Motivation by Appreciation Inventory” results to improve work culture.
- Overcome barriers that keep you from practicing the 5 Languages of Appreciation.
