Background on the LCM Project

LCM involves a set of projects, including the removal and replacement of the Newhouse Building, expansion of the Joel M. Pritchard Building (Pritchard), and an interior renovation of the John L. O'Brien Building's (O'Brien) third and fourth floors.

DES is also seeking comment on an environmental review for LCM that studies cumulative impacts of the building projects as well as the LCM Global project. LCM Global removes the Visitor Center and Press House structures, replaces the adjacent parking lot and closes Water Street Southwest. Road access would be limited to staff vehicles only. Comments on the LCM Non-Project environmental review are due Sept. 19.
