Know Your Dependable Strengths

Course Code: 2364

The philosophy of the Dependable Strengths® course is quite simple: There is excellence in everyone! In this course, participants will identify the excellence within, and the strengths and talents that can build confidence, self-esteem, renewed energy, and increased motivation. Uncovering strengths identifies what one does uniquely well and enjoys doing. This may confirm what you already know about yourself or reveal hidden strengths that may set you on a new, more meaningful path…or somewhere in between. No matter what, be prepared for insights and change for the better. Awareness of your unique strengths and “proof” of those from your own life experience creates an understanding of yourself that can lead to personal transformation.

Dependable Strengths® is an experiential process with brief lectures, individual work, paired work, and small and large group activities. The process is based on an individual narrative of personal experiences rather than a formal assessment, which allows participants to own and articulate the strengths they are most motivated to use. This process aligns with Career Construction Theories and Strength-Based approaches to career development.

Participants are encouraged to bring all intersecting identities to this workshop (work, faith, gender identification, race, culture, family system, different abilities etc.).
