Disrespectful behavior in the workplace has a significant and costly impact on the individual, the team and the organization. Disrespectful behavior results in decreased productivity, increased absenteeism, poor morale and considerable costs to the organization’s mission and bottom line. This absorbing and important class addresses the difficult challenges inherent in confronting and managing this serious workplace problem.

    You will learn to recognize those destructive patterns of behavior impacting your workplace and identify what you can do as a supervisor to create a respectful and productive working environment.

      Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

      • Recognize disrespectful or bullying behavior that is destructive to workplace productivity.
      • Describe the impact on the individual, the workgroup and the organization.
      • Identify effective ways to address disrespectful behavior.
      • Discuss ways to rebuild trust, increase morale and establish respect in the workplace.
