Hundreds expected to attend Nov. 11 Veterans Day Celebration on Capitol Campus
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has issued a permit for a Veterans Day ceremony. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in the Legislative Building. Following the ceremony in the Legislative Building, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Sacajawea Chapter will read the Vietnam Memorial inscription followed by the list of names of Washington State residents Killed in Action or Missing in Action at the Memorial.
The events are open to the public, and will feature music by the American Legion Band, speakers, a cannon salute and a 21-gun salute near the north stairs of the Capitol Building.
Parking on Capitol Campus is free on weekends and holidays.
Enterprise Services manages the historic Capitol Campus in Olympia which includes five parks, Capitol Lake and numerous war memorials.
